Please read these before relying on ParkWijs.

What ParkWijs is

ParkWijs is an informational aid that helps you decide whether you may need to pay for street parking in the Netherlands. It is not a payment service and does not start, stop or pay for any parking session on your behalf.

Subscription

ParkWijs Monthly costs €1,99 a month in the Netherlands; the App Store shows the price for your country before you buy. New subscribers get the first month free. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings, or in ParkWijs under Settings, Subscription. Cancel during the free month and you pay nothing. When the subscription ends, ParkWijs stops alerting you and asks you to subscribe again.

Refunds and cancelling

Apple processes every purchase, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you live in the EU or the UK, Apple lets you cancel a purchase within 14 days of receiving your receipt, without giving a reason. This does not affect your other statutory rights.

No guarantee of accuracy

Parking rules come from the open data of the Dutch national parking register, which may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, and which we present without any warranty. Coverage, prices, permit areas and blue-zone information can differ from the official signs at your location. Always read the on-street signs and parking machines. They are authoritative, not this app.

Detection can miss

ParkWijs relies on your phone's sensors and Apple's background limits to notice when you park or drive off. It may fail to detect a park, fail to deliver an alert, or alert late, for example if permissions are off, the phone is in Low Power Mode, or iOS suspends the app. Do not rely on ParkWijs as your only reminder to pay or to stop a session.

You are responsible

You are responsible for complying with local parking rules, for paying any parking fee through your own chosen method, and for stopping your own sessions. Using ParkWijs does not transfer that responsibility to us.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, PeraByte Labs and Pera Meta B.V. are not liable for any parking fine, penalty, fee, towing, clamping, loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, ParkWijs or the data it shows. The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under Dutch law, including Article 6:237 of the Dutch Civil Code.

Privacy

ParkWijs has no account and no server. Your location and the parking data stay on your phone. The Privacy Policy explains the few things that do cross the network.

Independent app

ParkWijs is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Dutch national parking register or any municipality. It uses the register's open data under its open licence. The outline of the Netherlands comes from CBS and Kadaster (CC BY 4.0).
